THE HARA FAMILY FIRST BIRTHDAY SESSION

The Hara Family First Birthday Session

The Hara Family First Birthday S

They chose to celebrate their son’s first birthday in the simplest, most beautiful way: just the three of them. No big plans, no overthinking. Just some balloons, an adventure, a little cake, and the freedom to be themselves. They played, they cuddled, they explored a space that felt like theirs for the day and for a little while, the rest of the world disappeared.

This is the kind of milestone session that reminds me why I do what I do. Because yes, birthdays matter. But it’s not about the balloons or the perfect portrait, it’s about what it feels like to be one year into parenthood. The way your bodies fold around each other instinctively. The way a baby nestles into your lap like it's their safest place in the world. The way laughter comes so easily when no one's trying too hard.

I think sometimes we forget that these in-between moments are the celebration. That simply being together, unrushed, unposed, and fully present is worth documenting too.

So grateful to the Hara family for letting me witness and preserve this little chapter for them. I’ll never take for granted what it means to be invited into mornings like these.
