There’s something about being the one they always reach for—the one who carries, comforts, and anchors.

These sessions aren’t about perfect swaddles or posed setups, they’re about capturing your baby just as they are. Usually held at home, where you’re most comfortable, we’ll document the way they curl into you, stretch their fingers, or settle into your arms. No need to prep or plan, my approach is baby-led, slow, and rooted in trust. I’ll guide you gently and frame the everyday in a way that feels timeless, elevated, and true.

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION?

Anytime in the first 2–6 weeks works beautifully. Some families prefer those early, sleepy days, while others wait until they’ve settled into a routine. I keep my schedule flexible so we can adjust if your baby arrives early or late.


HOW LONG DOES A NEWBORN SESSION LAST?

Most sessions take 60–90 minutes. We allow time for feeding, diaper changes, and breaks so the pace feels calm and unhurried.


WHERE DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORN SESSIONS?

I usually come to your home — the nursery, bedroom, and living room all make great backdrops. I also offer simple studio sessions in Durham Region and Toronto by request.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS?

I’ll send styling tips before your session, but simple, neutral clothing often photographs beautifully. Soft fabrics, layers, and muted tones keep the focus on connection and your baby. If brighter colours or statement pieces feel more like you, we can absolutely create bold, editorial-style images that still fit the timeless feel of your gallery.

CAN SIBLINGS AND PETS BE INCLUDED?

Absolutely. These early days are about your whole family, so siblings and pets are always welcome.

DO YOU BRING PROPS OR WRAPS?

My newborn sessions are not the posed, prop-heavy style you may have seen elsewhere. Instead, they’re about presence, connection, and documenting your baby as they are in these early days. I do bring a few simple, neutral items upon request —like cream or natural textured blankets that work with my style. I also encourage families to include heirloom blankets, wraps, or simple accessories that make the images feel even more personal and meaningful.

WHAT IF MY BABY IS UNSETTLED DURING THE SHOOT?

It’s completely normal. We work at your baby’s pace, with plenty of breaks for feeding, rocking, or soothing. Some of the sweetest images come from these real moments.
